In 1956, Elvis Presley performed at this theater and it closed in 1980 but was re-opened in 1983. Witnesses have reported a strange, unexplained humming noise inside the building, and at least one apparition has been caught on camera, sitting in balcony seat E2, section 500, waving. The Arcadia Opera House now operates as a museum, however, it has always been considered haunted. Guests that have been watching films here have reported seeing a disembodied head of a woman in the north corner of the room. The head appears suddenly and then floats from one corner to the next while screaming. It then vanishes in the next-door restaurant called Nicole St. Pierre. There are two ghosts that supposedly haunt this playhouse, their names are unknown but we do know it is a man and woman. The male ghost died fighting war in Spain and when the woman could no longer wait for him to return, she committed suicide, while pregnant.
